Port Washington is a cute little town located about 40 kms can be chartered for fishing or sailing expeditions. Many of the boats are also privately owned.
The Pierhead Light is an important structure. One has to walk almost 1.50 kms over the concrete platform above the waters to reach this structure to get a breathtakingly beautiful view of Lake Michigan.
I was fascinated and charmed by the beauty of this town and immensely enjoyed the few hours that we spent here.
One of the banks of the Lake faces East and so ideally suited for Sunrise photography. And what I saw was magnificent breathtakingly beautiful colours in the sky. It was as if the sky was on fire. These photographs depict the drama that was in the sky(as seen & photographed) and one that I had never witnessed before. I consider my self to be extremely blessed to have been present at the Lake shore on the morning of September 01, 2012 to witness God's own game of colours.
