Born into a family of musicians, Arushi has been fortunate in having an in – depth exposure to music and dance through the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, an institute started by her grandfather Pandit Vinaya Chandra Maudgalya and headed currently by her father Mr. Madhup Mudgal. She stared learning Odissi dance from a very young age from her aunt (father’s sister) Ms. Madhavi Mudgal.
Arushi has performed extensively as a soloist in several national and international stages including the Musee Guimet Festival in Paris and also at the National Centre for Performing Arts, Mumbai and Music Academy, Chennai to name a few.
She has interpreted religious texts and has even choreographed her own dancing. She draws her inspiration from her father – singer Madhup Mudgal and Maha Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. She dreams to master the “Abhinaya” in dancing.
Her performance that evening was just brilliant and dazzling in every minute and in every step.
