The Harrington Beach - near the town of Belgium, Wisconsin State is a part of the Harrington Beach State Park - one of the many State Parks (of Wisconsin State) located on the shores of Lake Michigan which touches Wisconsin State (Apart from the States of Illinois, Indiana and Michigan)
Lake Michigan is one of the 5 Great Lakes of USA and the only Lake exclusively within the USA while the other 4 Great Lakes are shared with Canada.
The size of this Lake is mind boggling. It measure approximately 500 kms by 190 kms and has an average depth of about 85 meters with the deepest point being about 280 meters. The estimated volume of water of this lake is about 4900 cubic kms. The Lake has a shoreline of about 2,600 kms and is also referred to as the 3rd coast of the USA - the first two being the Atlantic and Pacific. I have flown over this lake several times and one gets the feel of flying over an Ocean when the airplane is over this Lake.
This State Park is beautiful, well maintained with lots of trees and shrubs - excellent for long walks. The Beach is clean and the water icy cold and crystal clear.
Enjoy the pictures.
