Bert’s Farm, Dawsonville, Georgia State, USA

The Fall season has commenced and so many of the farms have come out with their produce of pumpkins for sale. The season is full of pumpkins, pumpkin latte, pumpkin soup, pumpkin cakes and pastries, pumpkin pies, pumpkin fragrance and pumpkin fragrance in every conceivable item of food in the USA. The festive season now here – Fall, Halloween towards end October and Thanksgiving towards end of November.

We took this opportunity to visit one of the pumpkin farms in Georgia State – Bert’s Farm at Dawsonville. This is a family-owned farm business since 1972. One of the other attractions in the farm apart from the pumpkins is the sweet smell that fills the farm yard from baked goodies such as pumpkin pies, pumpkin breads and rolls, pumpkin tarts and a host of other items.

We were there for a short while exploring the farms and while the ladies were busy buying up a few things me indulged in some photography. It was a beautiful day. Bright and sunny. Deep blue sky, white clouds, lush greenery and the contrasting colour of the pumpkins. It was indeed a gorgeous sight. All happened due to the benevolence of the Almighty.

Hope you like the pictures.
