Seward is very small town of 7 avenues with cross streets running at right angles. If you walk down all the seven avenues you have pretty much covered the town.
I took a walk on two days and crisscrossed about 4 avenues by which time my legs gave way.
The town is named after William Seward who was instrumental in negotiating the deal for the purchase of Alaska from the Russians in the mid 1800 for about USD.7.00 (Seven million dollars). He was then criticised for this purchase and this has been termed as "Seward's Folly' for paying 7 million dollars for purchasing 'a block of ice' from the Russians.
Here are the photographs of this town, the scenic beauty, the buildings, court house, library, few restaurants, shops etc.
Enjoy the pictures.
